Assoc. Prof. Jiashen Teh, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia

Assoc. Prof. Jiashen Teh obtained his first degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the National Energy University (translated from Universiti Tenaga Nasional) in Selangor, Malaysia. He then completed his PhD at the University of Manchester, UK, where he worked on the dynamic ratings of transmission networks and the probabilistic modelling of power systems.

Since 2016, he has been employed at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) within the Electrical Energy and Power Systems Group of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His research focuses on probabilistic modelling of power systems, with particular interests in smart grid components such as dynamic thermal rating (DTR) systems, demand-side management (DSM), renewable energy sources, energy storage systems, ICTs, and electric vehicles, as well as the application of algorithms for power flow optimization.

He also lectures on subjects related to power system analysis, as well as basic probability and statistics. He has supervised four MSc and one PhD student to completion, and currently supervises five PhD students. He is the author or co-author of over 30 papers.

Assoc. Prof. Teh is a Member of the IET, a Member of the IEEE, a Chartered Engineer, and serves as advisor for the IET-USM On-Campus student branch.

Prof. Low Siew Chun, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia

Prof. Low Siew Chun is a professor at the School of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia, specializing in membrane-based separation technologies for environmental sustainability. Her research focuses on low-energy, cost-effective water recovery and resource extraction from industrial and aquaculture wastewater. A key emphasis of her work lies in transforming wastewater into valuable products, such as nutrient-rich liquid fertilizers, while achieving zero-waste discharge. With over 5000 citations and an h-index of 36 in google scholar, Prof. Low has led 16 funded projects, published extensively in high-impact journals, and collaborated internationally. Her innovations contribute significantly to circular economy practices, with direct environmental and socioeconomic impacts. Prof. Low’s contributions have positioned her as a thought leader in sustainable separation technologies, industry practices, and academic advancements in resource recovery.

 

Prof. Liang Tian, Xi'an Jiaotong University, China

Professor Liang Tian, PhD Supervisor, Xi'an Jiaotong University Young Talent (Type A). 2010: B.Eng. in Materials Science and Engineering, Central South University. 2011: M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering, Iowa State University, USA.2012: M.S. in Engineering Mechanics, Iowa State University, USA.2015: Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Iowa State University / Ames National Laboratory, USA. From 2015, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and Purdue University, USA. In 2020, he assumed a full-time position as a Senior Engineer in Permanent High-Performance Computing in the United States. His research has been positively featured by international authoritative media such as Advanced Science News, the U.S. Department of Energy, and phys.org. He has published papers in reputable journals (Matter, Acta Materialia, FlexMat, Small), independently developed two computational materials methodology software tools and participated in three U.S. Department of Energy research projects. He has served as the conference co-chairs for 4 times, the conference session co-chairs about 20 times, delivered 2 keynote talks and about 30 invited talks. His research focus on the conductive composite materials for cables at various length scales, conductive nanomaterials for flexible sensors, conductive electrodes for flexible batteries. He has won the prestigious international award Advanced Materials Scientist Medal from IAAM.

 

Prof. Zhihua Wang, Zhejiang University, China

Prof. Zhihua Wang is a Qiushi Distinguished Professor of Zhejiang University and vice director of the State Key Laboratory of Clean Energy Utilization. He was successfully awarded the Distinguished Young Scholars Fund (2021) and Excellent Youth Fund (2014) from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Prof. Wang obtained his Ph.D. degree from Zhejiang University majoring in Engineering Thermophysics in 2005. His research interest covers clean and efficient combustion of coal and H2/NH3 zero-carbon fuels, laser diagnostic, and combustion emission control. He has co-authored more than 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals with a total citation of 16,000+ times, H Index 65 from Google Scholar. Top2 Scientist from ELSEVIER and Stanford University’s top 2% scientist list, “Single Year” and “Career Long” from 2021-2025. He has obtained the Second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award of China, the National Science and Technology Innovation Team Award, and holds more than 20 patents, including one Zhejiang Provincial Gold Patent.


Prof. Ping Xiang, Central South University, China

Dr. Xiang is a professor at Central South University, a doctoral supervisor, vice director, and an expert selected for Hunan Province's introduction of overseas high-level talent program. He completed his doctoral degree at the City University of Hong Kong in 2012 and served as a postdoctoral researcher and associate researcher at the City University of Hong Kong from 2012 to 2017.
He has been the principal investigator for a National Natural Science Foundation of China project, and he has published over 120 research papers, including more than 100 SCI-indexed papers, several of which are highly cited (ESI), and multiple top-tier SCI papers. Dr. Xiang has been granted three patents and holds three software copyrights.
As a representative of outstanding teachers at Central South University, he received a warm welcome from the Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Dr. Xiang has also been invited to visit several international universities, including Swansea University and the University of Strathclyde in the UK, Kangwon National University in South Korea, and Dartmouth College.
Dr. Xiang's research interests encompass the dynamics of high-speed railway track-bridge systems, the safety of high-speed railway bridges under seismic actions, finite element methods in computational mechanics, meshless methods in computational mechanics, prefabricated construction, composite structures, computational micro-nanomechanics, and biomechanics.

Asst. Prof. Chengsheng Yang, Nanjing University, China

Dr. Chengsheng Yang is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor and Principal Investigator at the School of Energy and Resources, Nanjing University. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Technology from Tianjin University in 2021, and subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Chemistry at Fudan University from 2021 to 2024. His research focuses on intelligent catalytic systems for carbon neutrality, with particular interests in CO2 hydrogenation, C1 chemistry, and operando characterization of catalytic interfaces. He has published over 20 papers in leading journals including Nature Energy, Nature Communications, Journal of the American Chemical Society, and Angewandte Chemie International Edition.

 

Prof. Bo Zhang, Dalian University of Technology, China

Dr. Bo Zhang, Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor, School of Energy and Power Engineering, Dalian University of Technology (DUT). He is the vice Dean of DUT Ningbo Research Institute and Director of the Key Laboratory of Complex Energy Conversion and Efficient Utilization, Liaoning Province.
Research Interests: High efficiency heat transfer, integrated optimization of energy systems, utilization of low grade waste heat. His principal research activities include thermal management and development of lightweight, high performance compact heat exchangers, and thermal management coupled with digital technologies for energy storage.
Honors: Named “Outstanding Young Talent of the New Century” by the Ministry of Education (2012) and awarded the “Liaoning Provincial University Innovation Talent Program” (2016).
